Congrats to La Condesa!

Husband and I ate at La Condesa just a couple of weeks ago and, after being awed by both the interior and the hour-and-a-half wait, we decided to have a seat at the bar.  We got the queso flameado- delicious.  We got the elotes (grilled corn on the cob)- even more delicious.  I got the Sunday Chicken- and let me say that if I were ever a judge on Top Chef and they had me decide my last meal so that one of the contestants could prepare it in their newfangled way it would be roasted chicken, hands down.  And this was that meal- simply scrumptious.  Crispy skin, juicy meat, perfectly seasoned.  Whatever sides came with it were amazing, although I can’t remember what they were, exactly, just that the combination of all of them at the same time was one of the best meals I’ve had in Austin in the last three years.

So….  Congrats to them on their James Beard nomination!
