In a transition time like February- is it cold, is it warm?  what is this weather?- it’s always a good idea to slowly phase in your new Spring items.  Especially if you’re like twin sister and simply don’t have the self-control to wait and wear your new things (did you, too, wear your new school clothes before the first day?)   So, in this spirit, here’s a tip for doing just that:

This gorgeous floral printed dress is from Laundry by Shelli Segal- as if the amazing colors weren’t enough, don’t you just adore the beaded neckline?  Just seeing it on the hanger conjures images of Alice’s tea party and dainty little shoes.  But we’re going to make it wearable for right now!  Febru-ize it, if you will.

Now let’s go to work.  You already have:  a wool boyfriend jacket

You also have:  black boots

Add an armful of shiny bangles et, voila!  You’ve got a seasonally-appropriate outfit that lets you show off the new and utilize the old.  So, which one is silver and which one is gold?
