Some very chic Austin ladies met this past Tuesday here in the shop. Hosted by Michelle Rodriguez and Celeste Quesada of Well Styled as well as Michelle Patterson from IdealHeel and the most beautiful (and delicious!) display of sangria you’ve ever seen from Townhouse (thanks Garrett!), a fabulous time was had by all! There are so many amazing women in our great city – it’s only right that we all put our heads together and make bigger and better things happen! We were so happy to host such a wonderful event and look forward to the next one!

We’ve announced a number of our Austin Fashion Week events and we’re pleased to present one more:

Monday, August 16th

Join Dress Shop and Taylor Moseley jewelry on Monday, August 16th, at 6pm for the ultimate girls night out and the downtown kick-off to Austin Fashion Week’s in-store events! Find your perfect Fashion Week look at Dress Shop (we’ll have very special deals for all attendees!) and top it off with a great piece from Taylor Moseley designs! Enjoy mini-makeovers from Evie Evan, cocktails from Tito’s Vodka, music, awesome giveaways and not-to-be-missed giftbags for the first 50 people to arrive! This will be the place to kick-off your fashion week, so don’t miss it!

If you’ve ever wanted to give a personal stylist a go, now is your chance! Michelle Rodriguez of Well Styled will be hosting FREE 1 hour consultations in the store on Wednesday, August 18th. There are only so many hours in the day, so space is limited! Click here to sign up for your free appointment with Michelle and (this is important!) at item #7, select “Other” and enter “Dress Shop.” Michelle will then notify you of your appointment time.

This is a great opportunity to work with Michelle and Well Styled and we are very excited to host them at Dress Shop!

Austin Fashion Week, event #1: Fall Fashion Brunch

We are thrilled to announce the first of our events taking place during Austin Fashion Week:

Fleming’s, the downtown grill that you know and love, will be our gracious host (and provider of an amazing brunch) for our Fall Fashion Show on Sunday, August 15th!

We’ll provide the entertainment- a fashion show featuring brand new looks for fall, which is a 180-degree turn from spring and summer. Very serious business. Just thinking about fall fashion makes us long for a crisp autumn day, sharp dresses, plenty of layering pieces and great boots…

The simply irresistible part: we’ll have private shopping, mimosas, and a very special discount only for ticket-holders after the show.

Stay tuned for the fine details (time, ticket price, etc.), but in the meantime, make sure you save the date of August 15th for the Dress Shop Fall Fashion Brunch!

We’re happy to welcome IdealHeel to Dress Shop! IdealHeel is like a guardian angel for your favorite heels – and if you love your shoes like we do, you have to protect them! You can find IdealHeel on sale now at Dress Shop. We’ll also have Michelle Patterson, the charming founder of IdealHeel, in-store showing off the full product line that evening.

We have to admit, we felt a bit out of the loop… We didn’t know about and certainly didn’t campaign for this (you know we would have come to you first if we did!) and were actually notified by a friend when the issue came out late last week, so we are especially (and very pleasantly!) surprised! Well, okay that’s a stretch… BUT, they did film in the alley behind the shop last night, so we’re going to pretend like we are associated. We’d give anything to meet She of the Flawless Follicle, aka Connie Britton (wouldn’t she look amazing in every one of our things??), and we might actually swoon if we ever see Coach Taylor any closer than across the room at South Congress Cafe. sigh.
